In four artistic positions, we inquire into the effectiveness of series of works, the structure of their nature, and the relationship between fragment, rhythm and composition. The exhibited works address in different medial ways the conditions of their own existence and inquire after the possibilities to translate the (un)depictable. By relying on fine distinctions, nuances or a research-based observation of our environment, they address in subtle manner the question of how we perceive the world through works of art. It is a process that requires openness—an invitation to engage with gentle differences that often only become perceptible on second viewing, in the afterimage, or in the echo of one’s own perception.
